DO YOU KNOW A BRAVE KID?
You don't need to save the world with superpowers to be considered brave. Kids demonstrate their bravery every day, learning a new skill, making a tough decision, and standing up for what's right. Their bravery deserves to be celebrated.
So next month, in honor of my newest picture book, Brave, I'M GIVING AWAY 25 SIGNED BOOKS TO BRAVE KIDS ACROSS THE US. Do you know a brave kid who would love a book?
To nominate a child, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with subject line: BRAVE KID. And tell me briefly about the nominee:
Did she recently learn to ride a bike?
Is he being a brave boy while a parent is serving overseas?
Did she overcome nerves and try out for a team?
Did he work hard and learn to read?
Was she a champ while in the hospital?
Kids are brave in so many ways. Let's celebrate the big and the small moments.
If your nominee is chosen, I'd love to share a picture of the brave kid and his or her story on my website. (You may nominate any child, but a parent or guardian's permission will be required before I can share any photos or stories.)
